AEGIS Services

Services offered by AEGIS include:
      
Advice and information on all aspects of starting, or returning to education as an adult.
      
Educational and career guidance sessions with Literacy, VTOS, BTEI, ITABE and Adult & Community Education students.
      
One-to-one appointments and group career and educational guidance sessions.
      
Assistance with completing CAO and Educational funding application forms.
      
One-to-one and group information sessions on aspects of adult education.
      
Access to an information resource room with information on local and national courses.
      
Limited access to the Internet for career and educational research purposes.

With the exception of access to the resource room and the Internet all AEGIS services are available through outreach centres in Mountmellick, Portarlington, and Abbeyleix as well as the main office in Portlaoise.

Information queries can be made to AEGIS via phone, email or drop-in to the main office.

To make a guidance appointment please contact the service via phone, email or in person and we will be happy to discuss an appointment with you.

Note
Due to resource issues, AEGIS will operate a waiting list system for all guidance appointments from March 2010.

Due to unprecedented demands for guidance services at the current time delays will unavoidably occur. However we will make every effort to deal with all queries in as timely a manner as possible.
